How does the Boston Bruins’ Brandon Carlo fit into the NHL draft?
The Boston Bruins are drafting goalie Brandon Carlo, and it’s clear the team is taking the right approach.
“We’re very happy with the pick,” coach Claude Julien said of Carlo, who is slated to be the second goalie taken in the NHL Draft.
“This is a guy that’s a tremendous goaltender.
He’s going to be a guy in the future.”
Carlo was the No. 2 goalie in the country during the 2015-16 season with a 1.90 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
He made the Bruins’ opening-night roster and finished the year with a 12-7-2 record with a 2.27 goals-to-save percentage and a 2-0-1 record against.
“I think he’s a great goalie,” Julien told reporters on Tuesday, according to the Providence Journal.
“He’s a terrific goalie.”
Carlo is also the brother of former NHL goalie Martin Carlo, now an analyst for the National Hockey League Network.
